Politically incorrect in almost every way, South Park is a crudely drawn cartoon with an almost limitless number of hilarious and sarcastic moments. The South Park (Season 5) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere “It His the Fan” in which Kyle gets four tickets to see The Lion King on stage, but he can’t find anyone (adult or child) willing to go because everyone in South Park is infatuated with the upcoming television broadcast of the show Cop Drama in which the word shit will be used on TV for the first time ever. When the big event occurs, it ends up changing South Park for the worse… Other notable episodes from Season 5 include “Cripple Fight” in which Big Gay Al becomes Kyle, Stan, Cartman, and Kenny’s Boy Scout leader, and “Cartmanland” in which Cartman’s grandmother dies and leaves him one million dollars which he then uses to purchase his own personal theme park…

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman follows the exploits of Dr. Michaela “Mike” Quinn, a female doctor living in 19th Century America when that sort of thing was unheard of. Working for years as an assistant in her father’s New England medical practice, the death of her father prompts Dr. Mike to answer a want ad for a doctor in the thriving American frontier town of Colorado Springs. When she arrives, the town is taken aback, having expected she was a man. But Dr. Mike quickly endears herself with the townsfolk and expands her family by adopting three orphan children - Matthew (Chad Allen), Colleen (Erika Flores/Jessica Bowman), and Brian (Shawn Toovey). As the show progresses, she eventually marries local Byron Sully (Joe Lando), and the final seasons focus on the lives of their nuclear family. Sporting an assorted cast of loveable, and sometimes eccentric, characters, the town is never short of excitement or drama…

The Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman (Season 2) DVD features a number of dramatic episodes including the season premiere “The Race” in which Snowbird gives Dr. Mike a pony as a gift to thank her for her work on the reservation. Dr. Mike decides to enter the horse in the lauded Territory Stakes Race, but official rules prohibit women from competing. When Dr. Cassidy, a neighboring township’s doctor, arrives on the scene, Dr. Mike tries to enlist his help, but he refuses. In the end, Dr. Mike disguises herself as a man in order to participate in the race… Other notable episodes from Season 2 include “The Offering” in which Mike and Sully unwittingly convince the local Native Americans to accept government blankets infected with typhus, and “Just One Lullaby” in which Reverend Johnson falls in love with Colorado Springs’ newest schoolteacher, Louise Chambers, while Dr. Mike worries about her reliance on corporal punishment…
